The visual
perspectives of
Tomorrow
The actions that have taken place in
ficg
throughout three decades, with the approach
for young filmmakers, could be summarized
in activities like: Encounters with
Professionals, Writing with Light, and other
experience exercises in the audiovisual field.
This 2015, seven editions where
ficg
takes action orientated for the new generation
of documentary filmmakers: Visionary
Campus Guadalajara. From that trial, a space
for non-fiction films was created, for the
practice of the Reflection of Reality: DocuLab
Guadalajara.
During these seven years 237 experts,
documentary filmmakers, have joined us,
from America, Europe and Africa. They have
shared their knowledge, thoughts, visions,
experiences and practices with 267 young
non-fiction filmmakers from Latin America,
Portugal and Spain. This has resulted in
endless energies forged with the intention of
never forgetting our collectivememories, to
preserve them and to show them to the youth;
the remains that are reflected, allowing us to
recognize them, to knowwhere we come from
and who we are.
In DocuLab Guadalajara 73 latent
documentaries have received advise in
the narrative laboratory (Autopsy of a
documentary in postproduction process) with
transforming proposals of multiple aspects,
close and universal reflection of the collective
reality in Iberoamerica. From these 73 works,
