Each year I have the honor to welcome the
sponsors of DocuLab, and event that takes
place within the framework of the Film
Festival, Festival Internacional de Cine de
Guadalajara (
ficg
); although this is a special
occasion, since this is the 30th edition of
ficg
, and the last 7 years DocuLab has been
part of this great event, one of themost
important in Iberoamerica.

DocuLab.7 Guadalajara will bring together 35
emerging documentary filmmakers, to debate,
to contribute, to analyze and to do what
we call, “dissection” of 15 documentaries,
something that generates not only a great
experience for all the participants, but
also contributes to the improvement of the
creation of documentaries inMexico and
Iberoamerica.
This year, the Selection Committee is
integrated by Carlos Gutiérrez, Federico
Weingartshofer and PauMontagud, all
filmmakers of great professional experience,
to whomwe are very grateful for their
outstanding contributions to select our
participants. We are also grateful to Nicolas
Echeverria, cofounder of DocuLab.
Without a doubt, the success of this
exercise has demonstrated all these years
that it has producedmore andmore fruits,
