way to preserve the memory and
the universal parallelism with the
determination to narrate a net of
resonances that place us closer
to a remainder path, a trail of
search, affiliation, recognition,
and personal and collective
identity rescue.
Nowadays to talk about
different languages, lines
and labels between nonfiction
cinemas in front of fiction
cinema is a thing of the past,
the value is in narrative proposals
that invite us to recognize,
deconstruct and reconnect the
otherness in our own.
Finally the reminiscence trails
make us recognize ourselves
allowing a personal vision
become a collective one.
The purpose of DocuLab
Guadalajara is to offer the
emerging young filmmakers the
right environment to present a
latent project (a documentary
in postproduction process,
first cut) in front of a group of
professional filmmakers who
give tutorship through analysis
and study. The documentary
development Lab is complemented
with four secondary activities:
master classes, dialogue tables,
workshops and special screenings.
DocuLab Guadalajara has
35 candidatures for young
audiovisual creators from Iberia
Latin America (directors, editors,
photography directors and
producers) who participate under
two modalities in the Lab:
Filmmakers to dissection (directors)
who participate with a documentary
in postproduction process.
Listener witnesses (directors,
editors, producers and
photography directors)
who participate without
presenting a documentary
in postproduction process.

ARGUMENT
Technological renovation and nonfiction cinema.
In the beginning of cinematography there were those images that
showed everyday actions of reality, some caused great impact in the
audiences of that debuting exploration in the audiovisual language.
From the hatching of nonfiction cinema, its creators have used
different technologies, with more or less technical advantages, that
have determined in many ways its approach to reality and the way
to present it. Today the technological improvements in equipment
offer us access, closeness and immediacy with the reality around us,
linked to the awareness, interests, sincerity, determination, integrity
and profoundness in discovering realities through a personal path.
Filmmakers of today have contributed with their vision in a very relevant
TECHNOLOGICAL RENOVATION
AND NONFICTION CINEMA.
