It is of great importance to establish,
to reinforce and to continue the
consolidation of scenarios for the
specialization and development of
the future generations of filmmakers;
the writers of the digital stories of the
future. This has been one of the main
characteristics of
ficg
, which can be
seen in the different activities that
take place in each edition.

presented its
Visionary Campus Guadalajara,
action directed to the specialization
of young documentary filmmakers
of the region; it became the first
cooperation attempt between
ficg
and the Berlin International
Film Festival, through Berlinale
Talent Campus. This productive
experience of specialization created
two events of cinematographic
development that this 2014 celebrate
six years of existence. These are two
spaces dedicated to specialization,
development and practice of fiction
and non-fiction films, for new
filmmakers who are anxious to tell
about, represent and portray their
environments: Talents Guadalajara
and DocuLab Guadalajara.
For six years DocuLab Guadalajara
has been sharing, exposing, debating
ideas and experiences between
filmmakers with a full career and
young Latin American emerging
documentary filmmakers who have
shown us their unrealized projects
with a variety of proposals and
topics, in different Latin American
realities. For DocuLab Guadalajara
it has been a privilege to see these
stories stop being only projects to
become films that have been seen on
the screens of many different forums
and festivals around the world.
