Empezó su carrera en la Unidad de
Producción Audiovisual de la Universidad de
Guadalajara, donde trabajó con numerosas
casas productoras del entorno, asistiendo y
operando cámara, grúa, steadicam y sonido
por un lapso de siete años. Hasta 2012
trabajó como camarógrafa en la televisión
abierta de la Universidad de Guadalajara. Ha
participado como fotógrafa en el documental
Puertas
, de Karina Orozco y cofotógrafa del
documental
Make Up
, de Pavel Cortés. En
el último trimestre de 2012, de septiembre
a diciembre, fue becaria en la Universidad
Internacional de Andalucía, España, en el
Departamento de Producción Audiovisual, en
la fotografía y edición de sus producciones.
Este año concluyó su primer documental,
Posada a tres tintas
, el cual refiere la vida,
obra y contexto sociopolítico del artista
José Guadalupe Posada desde la percepción
analítica de varios especialistas.
Gabriela began her cinematographic career
at the Unidad de Producción Audiovisual
of the Universidad de Guadalajara. In
Mexico, for 7 years she worked with several
production companies: assisting, as camera
operator, crane, steadicam, and sound. In
2012 she worked as camera operator at the
public television station of the University
of Guadalajara. She has collaborated as
photographer in the documentary
Puertas
, by
Karina Orozco, and as Co-Photographer in the
documentary
Make Up,
by Pavel Cortés. From
September to December 2012, she was granted
a scholarship to assist at the Universidad
Internacional de Andalucía, Spain, Audio-
Visual Production Department. There she
worked photography and Editing of her own
productions. This year she finished her first
documentary film, “Posada a tres tintas”,
about the life and work of José Guadalupe
Posada, and the socio-political context of the
artist, based on the analytical insights from
several specialist.
