Sinopsis: Thabo, Thabiso y Moalosi son jóvenes, hombres citadinos de basotho en una misión.
Viajan con una unidad de cine móvil a través de las montañas de Lesotho, proyectando su película a
las comunidades más remotas. En un país donde casi un tercio de las personas que son portadores
positivos del VIH que son el núcleo de un pequeño grupo que viven abiertamente con el virus. Son
los pioneros, y también son estrellas de cine, y resultan muy atractivos para las mujeres. ¿Cómo hace
uno para ligar con las chicas, si acabas de revelar públicamente el estatus de VIH? Los tres jóvenes se
abren de una manera muy abierta y poco usual que se ve en la pantalla. Esta película llega al corazón de
sus vidas y sus dilemas.
Synopsis: Thabo, Thabiso and Moalosi are young, urban Basotho men on a mission. They travel with a
mobile cinema unit through the mountains of Lesotho, screening their film to very remote communities. In
a country where almost a third of the people are HIV+ they are the nucleus of a tiny group that are living
openly with the virus. They are pioneers, they are also film stars, and are very attractive to women. How
does one go about picking up girls if you have just publicly disclosed your HIV status? The three young
men open up in a way seldom seen on screen. This film gets to the heart of their lives and dilemmas.

Una madre y su hija están en crisis debido a sus diferentes maneras de enfrentar al SIDA. Pinky, es
extravagante y ruidosa permite a todos saber que es VIH-positivo. Pero su hija, Ntombi, está luchando
para ser como todo el mundo. La manera valiente y conmovedora de enfrentar abiertamente a la
enfermedad de su madre las aleja. Y resquebraja la relación entre madre e hija. Pinky reconoce las
dificultades que plantea su apertura para su hija, pero no hace nada para cambiar. A lo largo de la
película, su sentido del humor y de la vida son evidentes. El documetal nos deja una reflexión sobre
Pinky haciendo lo que mejor sabe hacer- es vivir.
Synopsis: A mother and daughter are in crisis because of their different responses to AIDS. Pinky,
flamboyant and loud, lets everyone know she is HIV-positive. But her daughter, Ntombi, is battling to be
just like everyone else. Her mother’s courageous and touching refusal to be quiet or passive in the face of
AIDS, sets them apart. Pinky acknowledges the difficulties her openness poses for her daughter, but makes
no apology. Throughout it all, her sense of humour and life are apparent. We leave the film with Pinky
doing what she does best —living.
