MASTER CLASSES
An expert in one of the phases: production,
direction or distribution of documentaries,
shares his or her experiences, directly with the
group, through practices and specific exercises,
to refine the techniques of the selected group.
These labs will be directed specifically to
production, photography direction, sound
and post-production of documentaries. The
same way, in the Autopsy Lab, the analysis
and dissection of a documentary in process
of postproduction focuses on the narrative
structure work, starting at the first or last cut
of the documentary.
Renowned directors, producers, editors,
photographers, sound engineers and
distributors in the film and audio-visual
industry in Latin America and Spain,
specialized in the documentary genre, with
different cultural backgrounds and creative
tendencies, discuss over different techniques,
information and practices in the subject that
is presented. Between two to five professionals
talk about a specific topic, moderated by
another guest expert in the field. The selected
participants have an active participation in
the session of questions and answers.
Documentary screenings will take place with
the presence of the director in order to open a
dialogue over the presented work.
Renowned filmmakers, with vast professional
backgrounds in different forums and festivals,
converse and share their experiences,
perspectives and practices, over the
exploration and personal learning process in
the audio-visual language of the documentary
field. They explain techniques and methods
they use in their work. The selected group has
an active participation, to be able to note their
doubts in a session of questions and answers.
