Yanillys Pérez es actriz y directora.
Empezó su carrera de actuación en Santo
Domingo, estudió en Bellas Artes y siguió
su formación en Londres, Nueva York y
París. Su experiencia como actriz y su pasión
por el cine la ayudó a aprender de manera
autodidacta el arte de dirigir. En 2011,

, cortometraje filmado en la República
Dominicana de coproducción francesa.
Este corto la llevó a diferentes festivales
internacionales en 2012 y 2013. Ganó
como Mejor Cortometraje, Mejor Guión
y Mejor Cartel en el Festival Dominicano
Mujeres en Cortos 2013. Actualmente está
en postproducción de un cortometraje de
ficción, ganador de Fonprocine 2012. Ambos
proyectos tocan temas sociales.
Yanillys is an Actress and Director. She
started her acting career in Santo Domingo.
She studied at Bellas Artes and continued her
studies in London, New York and Paris. Her
experience as an actress, and her passion for
cinematography helped her in her self-taught
learning of the art of filmmaking. In 2011, she
wrote, produced and directed
Del otro lado
,
a short film shot in the Dominical Republic,
French Production. This short film takes her
to different international festivals in 2012
and 2013. She is awarded for Best Short Film,
Best Script, and Best Poster at the Festival
Dominicano Mujeres en Cortos 2013. She is
now in post-production of a fiction short film,
winner of Fonprocine 2012. Both projects deal
with social issues.
